It was an exciting weekend for Evie as she kicked off the weekend with a visit to Georgetown's alumni house where she was able to meet the Easter "S" Bunny! She had a great time walking around the house and showing off her pretty dress.

Evie meets Sonali for the first time!

Priya and Amit were in town from California this weekend, so we were able to get the girls together for the first time! Their adorable little Sonali is about 1.5 years old and is right on the brink of walking and is saying quite a few words. She and Evie were almost holding hands - it was so cute! Sonali seems to be an expert with babies - which will be a helpful skill when her new sibling arrives in May!

Evie loves to laugh! ha, ha, ha, ha!
We had much to celebrate this weekend, including the arrival of cuz Molly Kathleen McDonald, Karen's and Wally's little girl, who was born Sunday! Yea, now the three little amigos (amigas?) are complete. To see little Miss Molly with the fam, check out her blog at http://missmollymc.blogspot.com/ .
Meanwhile, little miss Evie needs something to make her smile, as her two bottom teeth broke through this week! Daddy and Mommy love making her laugh, as evidenced by these two videos. Mom's technique is to blow kisses on her tummy, while Daddy will be really quiet and then jump up and make some noises. She also seems to have ticklish armpits. Her laugh is the greatest thing to hear!

From 20 to 70 degrees in one week?
We started the week with inches of snow and frigid temperatures and ended with sun and sixty degrees. Evie got bundled up in her snowsuit but still didn't seem to be a big fan of the snow - well, maybe she'll begin to like it next year. Given her joy with slides, we're sure she'll enjoy sledding down hills. By the end of the week, it was nice and balmy, and Evie celebrated by wearing her "I Pity the Fool" Mr. T onesie in the sun.
On Saturday, the family donned their "green" apparel to check out the St. Patrick's Day Parade down King Street (yes, it's a little early but Old Town likes to boast that they have the "first" St. Patty's parade every year). We saw many bagpipers and mini-Riverdance girls but unfortunately no cute dogs like the Scottish parade to Dad's disappointment. You know it's a parade celebrating the Irish when some deliverymen had to cut through to wheel some kegs down to a restaurant, and the crowd cheered.
On Sunday morning Evie got to meet Mommy's friend Tricia and showed Andrew and Aunty Jen some of her cool toys. It was quite a scene when the mommies tried to pose the babies on the couch together - Evie and Andrew took turns crying while all frantically jumped up and down and sang "Wheels on the Bus".
Here is Evie showing off one of her new outfits to Ba's and Opa's delight.

Oscar Night magic and Opa's birthday, all in one week!
It was an exciting week that started with the Oscars on Sunday night! Evie got dressed up in her little sweater dress and was a lovely hostess. She didn't seem to want to go to sleep though, and kept waking up and had to fall asleep in mommy's arms all night. It was her first Oscar party and she wanted to be a part of it from beginning to end!
On Saturday we checked out the big train exhibit at the Lyceum in Alexandria - Evie seemed most interested in the big lego trains. She then celebrated Opa's birthday by sleeping through dinner at Granville Moore's while the family ate mussels and drank some Belgian beer and then helped OPa unwrap his presents - she enjoys playing with the wrapping paper the most.
