Easter in Virginia

Back in Virginia on Sunday afternoon, Evie was over at Ba and Opa's house. She dyed eggs of many, many colors in her onesie to make sure she didn't get any colors on her dress. I think Evie liked, most of all, to create the camouflage eggs just like her Dad. Just need to add a little red, green, blue and yellow in the same cup!

Evie found her first egg just under a stone -- she really loved looking for eggs that were hard to find.

There's an egg in the tree!

Evie celebrates her egg bounty with Mom.

Mom and Dad with Evie and her basket of eggs -- I see lots of egg salad in our future!

Evie, with Opa and Ba, loves her little snacks inside her plastic eggs.

Great Auntie Nguyet gives Evie a bread rabbit. Evie loves the raisin eyes best.

The family celebrates Easter Sunday dinner (Evie, Mom, Ba, cousin Kevin, Opa, Great Uncle Tung, Great Auntie Nguyet, cousin Terry). To Evie, nothing's better than Easter mac and cheese!

Easter in Spring Lake!

After a busy Friday in DC and making the trip to Spring Lake (just in time for cheese pizza -- no meat on Fridays!), Evie and Molly enjoyed a tour on the duck boat of BeBe and Popi's house. Their favorite part of the duck boat tour was eating the delicious snacks.

Evie has been practicing her Easter egg hunt skills for the past few weeks. Off to the races!

Evie loves looking for eggs to get the surprise inside...

Unfortunately, all her Easter egg surprises were waiting in her Easter basket for Sunday morning. So, the eggs were empty (which was a good thing with all the cousins putting every little item in their mouths).

Evie's a little grumpy due to the empty eggs, but all the other cousins (Juliana, Stan and Molly) loved the Easter egg hunt.

And then there were three cousins...

And then there were two...

And then there was Evie.

I've got you now Easter Bunny! Where are my eggs?

Evie and Juliana had a super fun time playing with each other Saturday night. They loved handing each other balls in the pit, "reading" each other books and touching hands through the mesh window of the pit.

It's time to say goodbye! Evie gives Juliana a goodbye kiss (with BeBe showing her how and Popi taking a break from washing Easter brunch dishes).

Thanks for a fun Easter, BeBe!

It was an amazingly fun time at the McDonalds and we can't wait to see the cousins again at Stan's first birthday party in May!

Cherry Blossoms in Bloom!

On the way to Spring Lake, the family braved the crowds, gambled on an illegal parking spot, and stopped by the Tidal Basin for a quick picnic among the cherry blossoms. Evie loved sitting on one of the tree branches and sniffing the flowers, as seen below.

Visiting the Sareens

After attending Molly's first birthday, Evie and family made a trip to the Lehigh Valley to visit the Sareens. Above is Sonali, Priya and Sachin.

Sonali was desperately missing her teddy bear. Evie knew where it was located in the other room and brought it back to her. Sonali liked Evie much more after this event and they loved playing soccer with each other. Though she learned how to kick a soccer ball, she would much rather pick up the ball. Maybe being a goalkeeper is in her future rather than a forward.

Evie loves the swing - even more when it's located in the backyard!

After the swing, Evie immediately ran to the ladder to the clubhouse. She managed to climb the ladder (with a little help from Dad) and reached the top. Getting down was another matter...
